Air U.S. First Officer Wing

G. Anderson Collection

Denver, CO 1974-1984

Air U.S. started operations in Riverton, Wyoming and later moved to Denver, Colorado. They flew to Gillete, Sheridan, Cody, Worland and Casper. The airline flew Jetstreams, Gulfstream 1-Gs and Handley Page HP-137s. When U.S. Air started flying into Denver, they bought the Air U.S. name to avoid any confusion on the U.S. Air brand name. After they purchased the name, Air U.S. name changed to Excellair on January 16, 1984.
